Lately, we’ve been having a little trouble with Button. It seems that she is going through a phase (one I like to call, “being a toddler) that makes her randomly flip out at inopportune times. I know that in her little mind, she simply can’t comprehend the words and phrases, “no” “stop it” or “We can never come here again…” And I know she doesn’t mean to be the brat she can be sometimes. But still, it can be embarrassing. Not only for me, but for anyone within a one mile radius who can hear her scream when I finally take away that toy she’s been dropping on the ground because she thinks it’s funny. When she’s completely rested, with a full tummy, comfortable, and wearing her tutu and snow boots ensemble that she loves so much, she’s a perfect angel. I swear. But then, she makes up for it with little moments like these, and I realize that although this is a difficult phase, I will gladly endure the moments of red faced humiliation at her hands when she randomly decides to get naked in front of company, than to not have her at all. She truly is my little Button. And I love her. Tutus, snow boots, tantrums and all.
