So, a couple of days ago, I got the fabric I ordered to make Sophia’s dress. I should have known that this would ultimately end in failure. Once I decided to just stop the madness with the Frankendress, I needed to uplift my creative spirits, so I made this spring bag. I got the tutorial here. I really love that website. It’s so peacefully designed. I used a new fabric from Hart’s for the outside and a “vintage” fabric that my mom in law gave me from her stash for the lining and the handles. Okay, it’s not really vintage, but, it still had the original receipt with it from 10 years ago! I really liked this pattern. It came together simply and the results are lovely. I chose the “shoulder bag” version because I’ve always got so much crud I have to carry with me.
Darn.
