Blue Collar

Okay, normally I’m not as low brow as this. But, my sister, my niece and I were driving around last night and suddenly, my niece yells out “CRAPBOOKS!” from the backseat. I was completely bewildered until I saw what she was referring too. Of course, we had to stop and take pictures: Sometimes it’s the [...]

Mornings

I think one of the best parts of motherhood is the rainy morning. Button crawled into my bed this morning when she woke up and gave me a sweet hug. She asked “whats dat noise?” I assured her it was only the rain and the wind. And just like that, she was up and running. [...]

w.o.w

Today is the first day (for me) of our church’s Women on Wednesday bible study. I struggled a lot with whether or not I should go to this. I mean, I go to school, I’m trying REALLY hard to get back into a morning workout routine with my crazy sister, and I have a thousand [...]

Oh boy…

I know I’ve seriously been slacking in the posts lately. But, I have a fairly good reason. I’ve been going through a little bit of a “feeling sorry for myself” phase and it’s been a little tough to crack. Normally, these don’t last long and I am able to bounce back and go own with [...]

He kept referring to it as being “perfect.” Since the dissolution of our prior church, our family just hasn’t been. We’ve visited a couple of times, but we haven’t been able to find a home church. We wanted something [...]

My Favorite Quote of All Time

When I got saved, I heard the Lord tell me “Fear not, for I am with you.” This really struck me because my salvation was a scary time for me. I come from a family that is Catholic and I was, in their eyes, straying. Even though I was an adult, I had a great [...]

Super Piggy

Button was playing with her cousins and the adults were all in my parent’s living room. From upstairs, we hear a cry: “It’s SUPER PIGGY!” Suddenly, six pairs of feet come scrambling down the stairs and thrust in front of us is, as was previously yelled; Super Piggy. She fights ham related crimes, I suppose.

My daughter

Button was at her grandmother’s house earlier and she was playing with “make up.” It was just a chapstick and she was having such a good time with it, I just let her continue having a blast. However, what I didn’t think about was what would happen once we got home and she discovered that [...]

Happy 4th

This year, my family and I are spending the fourth of July in North Carolina, just past Rodanthe. We’re here for a week. It’s so beautiful here I can hardly stand it. Normally, I’m really not a beachy, outdoorsy person; but the views here take my breath away. I’m so blessed that my parent’s decided [...]
